The Debbie Diaz Award
The Debbie Diaz Sportsmanship Awards are presented to players, coaches, and referees in the Sterling House athletic programs, to honor the memory of Debbie Diaz.
Debbie Diaz was a Sterling House soccer player and referee, as well as, a special volunteer and friend. Her loving nature and charm were evident in everything that she did – in school, church, the community and sports. Each year we recognize 10 individuals - players, coaches, and referees that share her spirit of sportsmanship and joy.
The recipients of this special award are recognized for demonstrating some of Debbie's finest qualities: fairness, sportsmanship, enthusiasm, dedication, and fun loving.
