Teen Camp Opportunities
Counselor in Training Program
Sterling House Day Camp is committed to providing older youth and teens with leadership development opportunities. The Counselor-In-Training program creates this opportunity for participants to develop leadership and job skills as well as develop a future source of counselors who have been trained in Sterling House Community Center’s leadership and program methods. The Counselor-in-Training program is designed for teens entering 9th-12th grade.
CITs must enjoy working with children, have a positive attitude, want to learn and practice leadership skills, under close adult supervision, and be good role models for campers working under a camp counselor and other camp staff.
The CIT program fee is $250 for the summer.
CITs who successfully complete the program will receive the $250 fee returned at the end of the summer as well as verification of service hours.
Upon completion of the CIT program, teens may be eligible to move on to our Junior Counselor Program
